# Update shift locations

This endpoint updates existing shift locations, matched by their Vome ID. Only the fields you send are changed.

<mark style="color:red;">An</mark> <mark style="color:red;">**id**</mark> <mark style="color:red;">is required on every entry, and must belong to your organization.</mark> <mark style="color:red;">**address**</mark> <mark style="color:red;">cannot be set to an empty value.</mark>

#### Behavior

* Omitting a field leaves it unchanged.
* Changing the address does not move the pin on its own. Send `latitude_longitude` alongside it so the location stays findable on a map.
* Shifts already pointing at this location pick up the change, because they reference it by ID.
